There are a number of different types of eczema, and they affect different age groups, genders, and come with other factors. They require basically the same treatments as much as that may surprise some. The severity of the case of eczema, not the type determine the appropriate treatment for that particular case of eczema, and you also judge by how the skin has reacted to past options. But it can also vary by what actually causes the eczema breakouts. So how do you differentiate?
First of all, there is atopic eczema. This is the most common variation. Many who suffer from this particular type of eczema also happen to suffer from common allergies as well as asthma. It is hereditary in children and adults, and it can result in redness and dryness of the skin, inflammation, dark spots, and the skin may even crack open causing infections and weeping. It is usually an allergic reaction, and it is important to keep detergents and other potentially harmful chemicals off the skin. Also keep the skin moisturized.
Second, there is a type of eczema called “cradle cap.” This occurs only in infants, hence the name. It starts on the scalp, and it can spread rather quickly to other areas. It does not look pleasant. But you will also find that it is not actually itchy, sore, or otherwise irritating to the baby who suffers from it. Using good moisturizers and gentle baths generally alleviate the problem.
Third, there is seborrhea eczema. This occurs only in adults, and it generally occurs between the ages of 20 and 40. It appears on the head as a form of mild dandruff. And it can worsen and spread to areas such as the face, ears, and chest. It is easily treated by using something such as head and shoulders dandruff shampoo. And many find that aloe vera has also been proven quite effective.
And finally, there is varicose eczema. This occurs only late in life, and it is caused by poor circulation in the lower legs, ankles, and sometimes the area of the stomach. the ankles are usually the worst areas. But it can become speckled, itchy, and inflamed. To start, moisturizers are the best treatment for this.

Men’s skin some would say is different, or at least so we would like to think. Obviously speaking, you really aren’t going to use aftershave as a woman. So that’s one skincare product that would be exclusively found in men’s products and men’s skincare tips. But you might be surprised to know, men’s skin is just like women’s skin in so many ways, except for the fact that it often ages slower. Yes, it doesn’t age as fast, because men’s skin tends to produce more oils due to more testosterone.
This does not mean that men don’t need moisturizers. To prevent aging, one of the best men’s skincare tips would be to keep a good moisturizer around and USE IT! If you keep your skin well moisturized with a light moisturizer, it will keep everything in greater balance and keep your skin from losing that moisture and leading to future aging.
Second, you still need to use sunscreen. You may think that your facial hair will protect you or otherwise. But frankly speaking, it won’t. You need to protect your skin from the sun and sun damage as well as pollution damage as much as women do. So therefore, you should also use a good antioxidant blend on your face as well as antioxidants and vitamins and minerals in your diet.
Finally, drink more water. Water keeps everything in general running smoothly. It really doesn’t matter who you are or what you think your circumstances are. One of the best men’s skincare tips is to drink more water. It’s simple, it’s free, and it’s extremely effective.

Smoking has long been known to be a harmful way of treating your body and skin in general. Naturally, it produces more wrinkles, more aging, and there’s really a reason why everybody sees smokers and thinks they are years older than they actually are. There is also a reason smoking is associated with so many illnesses and diseases.
With this in mind, we go on to find out more about smoking and its effects specifically on the skin. Basically, when you smoke, the smoke goes into your blood vessels and constricts them. This means that not only is blood obviously not getting around your face. You are losing moisture, nutrient absorption, and everything else your skin needs to stay young.
Second, obviously smoking also damages the cells much like the sun damages the cells. It’s not just drying them out, but actually damaging them. This ends in your skin actually creating abnormal, discolored, otherwise unhealthy cells which can turn into cancer eventually or they can just turn into wrinkled, discolored, and otherwise dull or undesirable skin.
So if you want to protect your skin and keep it from aging at such a fast rate, the idea is to stop smoking and stop doing other damage to your skin as a whole. The effects of smoking on skin are quite substantial, and it’s not something to be ignored.

For most women, a face lift or pricey Botox injections are just out of the question. Not only are these procedures expensive, they are also invasive, painful, and inconvenient. When it comes to wrinkles, most women prefer simply using a wrinkle cream instead. Still, it’s surprising to find so many misconceptions about anti-wrinkle creams for your face. It might be helpful to remember these “dos and don’ts” of wrinkle creams:
Don’t wait until you have wrinkles to buy a wrinkle cream. Some of the best benefits you receive from an anti-wrinkle cream are the preventative ones. Once you turn 20 you should look into an age appropriate face anti-wrinkle cream.
Do treat the wrinkles you have. Never assume it’s too late to lessen the appearance of the wrinkles on your face. Using an anti-wrinkle cream will help your skin regain a youthful appearance.
Do look for an anti-wrinkle cream that targets problem areas such as the crow’s feet around your eyes or creases above your brow.
Don’t spend upwards of $400 on a wrinkle cream. Past a certain price point you are just paying for a label. The ingredients in the best anti-wrinkle creams are available in products at half this price or less.
Do look for products that contain high concentrations of peptides for increased collagen production that will restore your skin’s strength and smoothness.
Don’t think you have to go to a dermatologist for a top of the line anti-wrinkle face cream. You don’t need an expensive prescription to get the best anti-wrinkle ingredients in your face cream.
